But for the record, the Urban areas of Little Rock and Jackson are just a little bit more denser than Birmingham. You can check the census or Wikipedia.
Out...
First of all, say you misunderstand my post, you read my post wrong, your not getting what I’m saying. But “why so you have such a hard time comprehending anything?”

2nd I have a comprehending problem because I disagree with you? Do you have a rudeness problem not to mention fallacious. I get what you two are saying I disagree with half of what you two are saying. Your first reply to me in this thread you said you disagree with my post, if I use your logic I would had planted the same straw man "comprehension". I said Metro now your the one that comprehend wrong telling me about urban area. Do you do that on purpose? )

3rd of all I was taking about development. Birmingham has a older dense core, little Rock and Jackson dosen't. Again the city was on pare with Atlanta, Dallas and Houston once upon a time, a time when developments were generally denser. comprehension?

4th But lets look at the urban area from wikiepedia like you said.
Charlotte 1745.0 density 1126.4 sq mi Area
Birmingham 1692.5 density 1015.5 sq mi Area
Little rock 1752.8 density 532.4 sq mi Area
Jackson 1819.4 density 416.6 sq mi Area

Little Rock is denser than Charlotte so what does that suppose to mean? There all in the same range of density, on the other hand look at the area. Birmingham has a density comparable to little rock for nearly twice that area. Little Rock urban area was 360,331 Birmingham urban area was 663,615 and Charlotte 758,927. So which is Birmingham closer to? ) And let me guess I have a comprehension problem?

Charlotte is a far and away a much more impressive metropolis ... however, I do prefer the physical setting and scenery of Birmingham ... Red Mtn with the Vulcan statue affords one an incredible view of the city and valley.
Birmingham does have some impressive suburbs too, especially "Mountain Brook", the affluent and leafy hometown of actresses Kate Jackson & Courtney Cox

As a city/MSA, Greensboro and Columbia are about the same size and offer much of the same things. No drastic differences between the two.

I get that, im just wondering why are people putting bham in the same tier?. It about as crazy as people saying bham and Jackson are on the same tier.

How much do you know about Columbia, and when was the last time you were there? Columbia is actully a larger MSA than Greensboro. Columbia is a very vibrant city, for starters its a capital city, and its also home to the University of SC which adds a lot to its vibrancy, espcially regarding nightlife and the arts. I absolutely put Birmingham in the same tier. IMO certainly more so than putting Bham in the same tier as Charlotte.

You seemed to be upset that someone put Birmingham in Columbia's tier, but you could live with them putting Greensboro in the same tier as Birmingham. I was just letting you know that both areas are similar in size and amenities, so I just didn't understand why you'd have a problem with one and not the other.

I'm guessing the general perception. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that the OP feels that certain cities are "below" Birmingham regardless of similarity and to put Birmingham side by side with any of these cities is the ultimate crime.
