We currently live in Raleigh and are looking for a possible move to Austin. As such, I read a lot of posts in both forums. What I get a kick out of is people in both forums complain about people moving there because there are no jobs. They claim people looking in their area should look in the other. So which is it? How can Raleigh claim they have no jobs and everyone should look to Austin instead and Austin claim they have no jobs and everyone should look in Raleigh instead?

Look at ALL the people moving to Austin from everywhere:

These maps are from 2008 -- when things started getting bad. People apparently continue to move to both places.

Too bad they don't know the reality.

The answer is that BOTH places used to be great as far as job opportunities. And now they're not.

Pass the word.
