First off. NOBODY from Georgia said that being on the Downlow was something to be proud of or support. It was a poster from somewhere (I think Texas) that said he knew of rappers from Georgia being on the DL. And that alot of blacks in Atlanta were. (Meaning they were in the closet, undercover, secret, whatever homosexuals). A poster from Georgia then said basically that that was not the case. That there was a large Gay community in Atlanta but they were mostly very openly Gay NOT Down low! Another poster agreed that most Gays in Atlanta are not at all Down Low but very out in the open. I then added that there are plenty of openly Gay Women in Atlanta as well.

Where and how in all of this did you get the impression that Georgians were bragging about having a DL community? I can't understand?

As for the nightlife comparison. The OP ask which state has the better culture as part of his criteria on judging. Nighlife is part of culture. That's why I brought it up. There are other points on either State that have not been discussed yet as well. Are you going to get mad at me for bringing them up? Once again this is a debate on why you think one State is better than the other. It's not like I'm trying to hurt your feelings by bringing up what I think are better traits for my State. Do you have to take everything so personal?
Yeah.....I definitely lapsed for a day or two and saw something to the effect of "GA has more people on the DL".....like that was a continuance of why GA is better than MN, and I didn't do my research first. Great call!!! And I think we're clear on nightlife now...

hand down? Nice array, lots of choices, not as specified though, so MN has specialty majors where it benefits, but overall I think GA has it here.....BY A HAND, not two.

GA does have great universities. MN's college experience could stand to be ramped up. Great institutions, unique majors (aviation, urban planning, etc.) but drab campuses (aside from U of M). It's sad that so many MN students go to Wisconsin for college (ick!). Wisconsin is MN's biggest rival. Could you imagine Michigan kids going to Ohio State en masse? Never! (OSUcks)

Depends on the sport you're talking about. If you're talking hockey, I think the Gophers' biggest rival is probably St. Cloud, or maybe UMD. Or North Dakota.

I thought the topic was academics, and btw, OSU owns Michigan in football since I went to OSU, so Muck Fichigan!
