Who knows how long it will be before we see cranes in the air during this mega-recession, but there's ways of "Repainting" your skyline, transforming it, just with color changes.
Imagine taking an older glass-skin building in your city, and merely replacing the glass with a different colored glass, or more adventurously, make it multi-colored, and give the buildings new leases on life. Or merely adding painting/metal cladding parts of some buildings, or taking an ugly glass/prefab sided building and making it all-glass, or taking a glass bldg. and adding some stonework.
Imagine, for example, changing the Sears/Willis Tower's glass from black to
gold, pink, blue, green, or different parts, different colors. Or any taller buildings in any city in this country.
Is there a building(s) in your city that you'd love to transform with color if you could and would help beautify the skyline?
I would think doing such things are less popular now than before. Painting it diffferent colors would be seen as a waste of money.
