I got allot of family in the midwest in Chicago, Gary, Flint and Grand Rapids and my cousins up there always loved down south music and I always liked their midwest music too. The midwest and the south always seemed to just mesh on a musical level IMO

The West also seemed to mesh with the South on a musical level as well. Specifically Texas and you can make an argument on Louisiana.
This is the Dallas I remember when I was little. Not the crap that's coming out from there now. But you can hear the West Coast influence in there as well. That's why I made my last comment.
