When was it ever the Capital of the West? It's just a big city.

Hola from CA, I voted yes, but heres why. Houston will pass LA economically, but I think thats it. LA will remain the Media hotspot, LA Metro and CSA will remain #2 in the nation, LA will still be more known( I hope not for Hollywood!). I don't see Houston passing LA's population in my life time!

So its like saying, when was NYC the Capital of the Eastcoast? It's just a Megacity right? I think his meaning of "Capital" was off but his meaning of Capital was Economy, More known( I guess fits with Capital though), and Population( Does fit with Capital). LA for now has the bigger Economy, though the current economic situation is not good. Houston will pass LA economically in the future! LA will still be more known, more populated, and capital of Media west of the Mississippi.

^^ Well hell. When was NYC the capital of the East Coast? When was LA the capital of the West Coast? These are new terms to me.

^^ did I make the thread? I'm just giving a opinion, but anyways I think his meaning of Capital was population maybe? He needs to be more clear. The OP wrote Economically, More known, and Population. I'm just basing it off that!

Exactly right.

No disrespect to the OP, but my lord. The area of the United States west of the Mississippi is not even considered a coherent region, much less to have a "capital".

It actually makes more sense to talk of a capital of the South, or Midwest, or West Coast, or Mountain West...and it is obvious how THOSE fly! LOL

Re-read what he said in his sentence.
