Atlanta combined statistical area against the city of New York not including metropolitan area. Premier city of Northeast against premier city of Southeast. To make fair all of Atlanta area against only city of New York. Atlanta area is 5.8 mill, NYC is 8.3 mill. Which place has good nightlife, weather, sports, school, scenery, economics, power, culture, dining, vibe, lively, transport, and all other goods?
Southeast/Northeast battle. No one has filled subject on which they like more. Atlanta top 5 nightlife, 4 season weather, premier shopping destination in southeast, global economics. NYC alpha dog of Northeast and USA. Comparison for which one would prefer to live in most. Claims are many moving from NY to Atlanta area for better QOL, lets hear why one were to prefer either city [for atlanta it is whole metropolitan area].
I honestly think this is a tough comparison. Something that might be more relevant and will use some PA cities as an example and that would likely be closer or more easily compared. City of Atlanta to City of Pittsburgh (both similar on population) or City of Philadelphia compared to the city of Atlanta both nearly identical in land area covered
But on your criteria:
nightlife NYC
weather Edge to Atlanta
sports NYC (Though technically the two NFL teams are in NJ)
school NYC
scenery subjective, I like coastal (not thrilled with city beaches though)but really do appreciate some of the areas in and around Atlanta
economics NYC
power NYC
culture NYC
dining NYC
vibe NYC
lively NYC
Transport NYC
COL Atlanta
QOL is subjective
But honestly on most of these criteria NYC is the best in country and can be argued in the world
Of course I love ATL born and raised but even the most fly homey knows it doesn't hold a candle to NYC. Atlantans are proud but we're not stupid. I'm thinking this thread was created hoping just to heap praise on NYC and bash ATL.
