Atlanta/Houston/Dallas and Orlando pop up on that list consistently. Tampa of course also has an impressive mix of ethnic groups. We already how ethnically diverse Miami is. And even Charlotte gets some shine. I think ppl truly underestimate how ethnically diverse and culturally integrated some of these southern metros are TODAY. Houston for example, the Nigerian community is heavily integrated in the dominant culture here. It’s not some bubbles of ethnic groups like some might think it is cause it’s more car centric than up north.

Yeah that’s some serious homerism there lol. My cousin use to live in Seattle and while he enjoyed living in Seattle he said sticking out in social gatherings became a nuisance.

Minneapolis is a sleeper. It's not a Black American capital, but is surely a top spot for African immigrants, specifically East Africans and Liberians; more than other Midwest cities. I think out of its 19% Black population, half are recent Africans.
DC is attracting a lot of black foreigners, more than I realized. I knew there was a large Ethiopian community there, but apparently it has a sizable diverse presence of West Africans and the #1 city for Sudanese and Eritreans. I assume these numbers are accounting for city limits alone.

A sleeper for black capital? I disagree with that just because It’s black population is not that large and it still gets outnumbered in Black immigrants by many other cities. I agree it’s black population is slept on overall though. Some good music and a few good ball players. Seems better than being
Milwaukee or Iowa or maybe be better than Ohio too... definitely the capital of the Somali community
Car centric suburban lifestyle??? Lmaoooo you pulled those way out ya ass.
Is Houston not car-centric? I thought it was one of the most car-centric cities in the world. If that’s not true, then why don’t you try to educate rather than ridicule?

I did say it's not the capital of Black America. I give it to ATL or DC. I'm more so saying it's a sleeper when it comes to non-ADOS black people, Africans in particular. And yes, those other cities have more black immigrants, but keep in mind Minneapolis is a city of 425,000 and a metro of 3.6 million. By comparison, D.C has nearly 300k more in the city limits and 2.5 million more in the metro. In the Twin Cities metro, about 40% of the black population mark their ancestry as "Subsaharan African". That's noticeably more than the 15% for DC metro, and it tells me my chances of coming across a non-AA black person is really high, especially in Minneapolis itself.

Maybe he means comparably speaking which in that case Seattle aint anywhere near what cities like New Orleans,Atlanta,Philadelphia,DC,etc have
All I know personally is Jimi Hendrix and Quincy Jones oh and Norm Rice.Thats all I got off the top of my head but im sure there are more
I was being sarcastic. I Googled Black celebrities from Seattle and it took a while for it to load the page but I laughed when I refreshed the page.
