You ATLiens always come out and say that I'm bitter because Alabama isn't like Atlanta. That's so not true and looking at the problems Atlanta has, I wouldn't want to wish that on any state or city.
Your own words:
I'm sorry for that y'all. It's just Atlanta is always in the spotlight. Atlanta is growing too much that people tend to forget about Alabama, my homestate. It's all good though. All is good.
However, note this BLACK MECCA thing is not always a good thing for Atlanta. Look at the lack of diversity compared to Houston, Dallas, Miami, NYC, and others. BLACK MECCA lets me know that this city is almost only for blacks. Wake up you ATLiens!
Once again, your hypocrisy rears its ugly head. One minute you're complaining that Houston isn't getting any votes and that it has Black history, HBCUs, had slaves, etc., but now you're talking about how being a Black mecca isn't a good thing. If nothing else, you're always good for a laugh.

Man, you're digging too deep! I said in Atlanta's case being the BLACK MECCA isn't particularly a good. Y'all need some diversity!
Y'all are just ok with Atlanta being a BLACK MECCA. It seems like y'all just like maintaining that self-proclaimed title.
And it seems like you're not capable of complex thought. Atlanta is proclaimed to be a Black mecca due to the economic, cultural, educational, and political clout it has amassed throughout the years. Atlanta became what it is because it consciously chose not to be like Alabama and embrace tolerance and Civil Rights. City leaders knew, among other things, that it doing so would be good for business. Alabama's leaders didn't get that and took the exact opposite approach--hence, this is why Atlanta is head and shoulders above Alabama in just about every positive metric that exists.

Dude, please. Atlanta has plenty of diversity, certainly more than Alabama could dream of.
Plus, I get sick of people parroting all of this talk about "diversity" as if it's so ideal in and of itself, and this is coming from a Black man who sometimes benefits from so-called diversity initiatives. There's not much diversity in China to speak of, yet they are whooping our asses here in the US in so many areas until it's not funny.
This is not about Alabama. First of all since you want to go there, Atlanta could do and be wayyyy better if it wasn't in Georgia.
For the first time, I actually agree with you here. But I do believe it's doing much better in Georgia than it would if it were in Alabama (or SC, MS, LA, etc.)
