Yes, I see many similarities between northeastern Ohio and Ontario, Canada. Both Ohio ( NE OHIO in particular ) and Ontario have historically been more industrial and had had a definitive reliance upon the heavy industry / manufacturing sector.
Both NE Ohio and Ontario are home to major population centers with Cleveland / Akron metro area and Toronto ... Both are located on Lake Erie ... I think they're actually quite comparable to one another.

Toronto is on Lake Ontario.

Uh Toronto is on Lake Ontario.

Not the same at all. Two different countries we're talking. They do both begin and end with O though.. there's one similarity.

I don't know. Using that extremely vague description you can match it with many places. Both places also have people. Both places contain houses. etc.

At no point have I ever been driving or walking around northeastern Ohio and thought to myself, "Hey, this seems like Ontario."
