Sorry, Ohio's thrill rides (Cedar Point and Kings Island) blow anything Orlando has out of the water.
How are you enjoying King's Island and Cedar Point this time of year? Disney & Universal are expanding plus Legoland is being built while the frigid Ohio continues to loose parks. First Sea World then Geagua Lake (King's Island could follow even after Cedar Fair's intervention). Back in O-town Universal's posting record profit & attendance, enjoy the winter Sandusky CP will open again in only 5 months.

I'm pretty sure the 48 million people who visit Orlando each year would disagree. Cincinnati is 4 hours away from Sandusky anyway. Sure, you may have more thrill rides, but nothing compares to Disney World and Universal. They're not just about the rides- the entire environment transports you to another world. We also don't need zoos (and someone mentioned)- we have Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, and then Busch Gardens two hours away. I've been to King's Dominion (similar to King's Island; same company), and sure there were fun rides, but it was nothing to write home about. Minimal theming just takes away from the park experience for me. The Orlando theme parks (and water parks) are themed down to the last detail- they're truly works of art. Not everything has to be about thrills.
Besides, Orlando is a world vacation destination... Cincinnati isn't.

Couldn't agree with the last part more, Orlando is the United State's number one destination!! Oh and you're right, Orlando doesn't need some second rate aquarium or zoo when Animal Kingdom and Sea World are constantly ranked among the top accredited zoo's and aquariums in the country. Not to mention that Animal Kingdom blows even it's closest competitor away in terms of annual attendance:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom – 9.5 million
Busch Gardens Tampa – 4.4 million
San Diego Zoo – 3.4 million
Lincoln Park Zoo – 3 million (free zoo)
St. Louis Zoo – 3 million (free zoo)
National Zoo – 2.7 million (free zoo)
Bronx Zoo – 2.1 million
Brookfield Zoo – 2 million
Denver Zoo – 1.9 million
Columbus Zoo – 1.8 million
San Diego Wild Animal Park – 1.6 million
Oregon Zoo – 1.6 million
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo – 1.6 million
Los Angeles Zoo – 1.6 million
Houston Zoo – 1.6 million
Philadelphia Zoo – 1.4 million
Indianapolis Zoo – 1.4 million
Phoenix Zoo – 1.3 million
Milwaukee Zoo – 1.3 million
Cincinnati Zoo – 1.3 million
Festivals, the arts and one of the country's best zoos. But as theme parks go, the thrill ride offerings at King's Island are superior to any at Disney, and arguably better than anything at Universal.
Someone earlier made a comment about jobs in Cincy not paying above $8-10/hour. Seems strange given that Cincy is home to Proctor & Gamble, Kroger, Chiquita Bananas and several financial firms like Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati Insurance, Western-Southern Financial Group and Great American Insurance. Orlando does not have the corporate base that Cincinnati has.
Cincinnati has a theme park? I had no idea. Thanks for posting.

Cedar point is no where near Cincinnati, so I don't think you can use that.
I am still not convinced that Cincinnati comes anywhere close to Orlando for entertainment. Even their "real city" amenities can be comparable to Orlando's, but Orlando also has world class theme parks and resorts. Sorry, Cincinnati, this is on thing you and many other cities cannot beat Orlando in.
^^ No city can beat Orlando in this regard TB, no city! I always like to throw this tidbit into any Orlando versus threads when our theme parks come up. Out of the 16th most popular theme parks in the world, 9 of them are in the United States. 7 of those are in Orlando(#1#2#6#7#8#11#12#13#16) the other 2 are in Anaheim, CA. I think it's safe to agree with you on this one, Ohio doesn't compete, nor make the top 25.

I disagree, Cincinnati feels and is a real city. Theme parks make up a tourist attraction not a real city. And if you want to be technical Disney is not even in Orlando. I will repeat this again, Disney and theme parks are not true entertainment. Have you ever been to the museum in downtown Orlando? They have a plastic tree for their main attraction.

What is evident from these posts is that Orlando revolves around a theme park while Cincinnati revolves around its city center. I find that much more appealing and find that this builds a city with a stronger character and community. Even Orlando's tallest sky scraper is at Disney and not in its downtown.

Untrue. From Wikipedia:
Skyscrapers
Metro Orlando has a total of 71 completed skyscrapers. The majority are located in Downtown Orlando and the rest are located in the tourist district southwest of downtown.[10] Skyscrapers built in downtown Orlando have not exceeded 441 ft (134 m) since 1988 when SunTrust Center was completed. There has never been an official reason why, but local architects speculate restrictions imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration, as the Orlando Executive Airport is located four miles (6 km) east of Downtown Orlando. [edit] Downtown Orlando
The SeaWorld SkyTower, 400 ft (122 m), is the tallest tower in Orange County outside Orlando's city limits.
The Peabody Orlando Expansion Tower, Winter 2010, 428 ft (130 m) will be the tallest tower in Orange County outside Orlando's city limits when complete.
