Kid and I have debated the same link on another thread. I think all of these links are questionable to some degree. Some of the restaurants aren't in CC either.
Finast, CC Philly has one of the highest concentrations of restaurants anywhere in the country and has been shown in multiple links and sources to outnumber those in DT DC. Seriously this has been done so many times now.
On the loop honestly it is not the eating center of Chicago which as a city is an amazing foodie city and better than Boston/DC/Philly.

All of them were actually in center city. If you think that your source was questionable, then why bother to post it as if was a credible source to prove your false statement .
When I'm in DC I feel like 'downtown' stretches on uninterrupted forever. Mile after mile of urban density. When I'm in Boston I feel like the 'downtown' is a little disjointed, split between Copley/ Prudential/ Back Bay and Atlantic Ave. Still highly urban and dense nonetheless. When I'm in Philly I feel that Center City is the smallest of the 3 core urban areas. However like Boston, Philly's central urban areas are cut up. To me South Philly leading from Old City to the Piazza is where it's true urbanity shines through. That's quite an impressive stretch. I feel that South St is a bit cheesy however. I'd give my nod to Boston, with Philly 2nd, and DC a very close 3rd. All 3 cities make me happy that I'm from the East Coast.
Also, Baltimore has a nice flow from Harbor East to Fells to Canton to Fed Hill and Locust Point, and from Mt Vernon to University Parkway. Although, it's the smallest of the East Coast strip, it still can hold it's own with many cities nationally as far as urbanity is concerned.
