There is nothing like the GoGo scene in DC in the city of Philadelphia.
Whatever, man. There are no packed Go-Go shows in the DMV on a nightly basis. Except for the ones in your dreams. From what I recall, you don't even live in the District of Columbia. You're one of those "Merlin" guys, right? What does someone who lives in "Merlin" know about Washington, DC? Maryland is NOT the District. You probably spend most of your leisure time chowing down at Golden Corral in Largo Town Center!

What are you talking about? When did I say I live in Maryland? Lol at there are no packed GoGo's. That's how I know you know nothing about DC. You were a transplant during your short stint here and you know nothing about the people here. Just make sure you stay away this time. Do you even know where the bands play? Name a venue?

No, there are not multiple shows across the city (or the Metro) with "1,000+ in attendance." You must think you're the only person who's ever lived in DC and that those of us who have can't call complete BS on that! There are only a handful of venues in DC where you can even hear Go-Go nowadays. And those spots would be lucky to get 50 people on any given night. Outside of that, you have a few high school Go-Gos, but those are only once every blue moon. And I really hope you're not trying to sneak into parties at Flowers, Friendly, or Gwynn Park.

If you're a "Go-Go head," you can find everything you need here. And from the looks of it, there are no shows until Saturday.

What!!!!!!!! You have no clue what GoGo is clearly. What bands have you seen in person? Most GoGo bands play in Maryland first of all. Second, you just lost all credibility. It's obvious you have never been to a TCB, What Band, Backyard Band etc. show in your life. 50 people!!! Are you kidding me!

I have seen:

Rare Essence at the Legend on Naylor Road

Backyard or "Back" at the Black Hole

Rare Essence at Club U (the Reeves Center)

Lissen Band at Zanzibar

Vybe Band at Takoma Station (multiple times)

Style Band at the old Dinosaur Club

Suttle Thoughts at the Classics

Chuck Brown at the Tradewinds, the Warner Theater, the Carter Baron, Union Station, the Reagan Building, the 9:30 Club (twice) and Constitution Hall

E.U. at the 9:30 Club

And I'm sure I'm missing a couple of shows...

I spent many a night in the Ibex, DC Live, the Ritz and Republic Gardens. I know DC better than you, "young."

I can even take it back on you with Myiesha and the Hip Huggers, Los Latinos, 9-1-1 Band, Trouble Funk, the Northeast Groovers, and Junkyard. You can't "out DC" me, young.

Haha. I've already proved I know more about DC than you do. You say some pretty questionable things about DC sometimes. I bet you still get lost in the city, don't you? That's what happens when you spend all of your time in a dingy apartment off Route 197 in Laurel. LOL.

What do you know about cabarets?

What do you know about being "bunned up?

What do you know about being "cysed?"

What you know about foam posits?

What you know about Harley Davidson gear?

What you about tye-dye tee shirts and slouch socks?

What you know about Shooters, We R One, All Dayz, Madness and DTTP?

What you know about Banneker, Wilson, Deal, Hobson, Jefferson, Woodson, Cardozo, Roosevelt, Ballou, Walls and Eastern?

What you know about "Burrie Farms," "Da 6-40," and "Uptown?"

What you know about that "lover?"

I've been to the Ritz and DC live. DC live didn't even close down till after I was out of High School. You however know nothing about GoGo other than back in 1998 etc. Have you been to the Trade Winds to see a band post year 2000? Have you been to La Fontain Bleu? Have you been to the DC Star? Have you been to Club Elite? Have you been to MaryGolds? You are so out of date, how can you even have a conversation about GoGo? When was the last time you saw a band? I can guartantee you have never seen any current bands or attended any shows. Talking like you actually know what is going in the DMV!

Also based on all that, you are pushing 40 which makes you completely irrelevant! E.U....lol....

I'm pretty sure you guys lost every non-black person on this thread, I don't think anybody understands what you are talking about anymore.

So you live in Laurel or Upper Marlboro?

Do you prefer Japser's or Golden Corral?
