Actually Washington DC as of the moment is beating New York City (first time in City-Data History that someone has beat New York City).

Washington DC although many haven't noticed it yet, is actually a very popular city on this site. Probably right after New York City & San Francisco.

It's 82-81 right now. I'm sure after my post there will be a resurgence though taking New York City back into number one, and the gap will start widening after that too.

nope DC is still leading 85 to 82

more surprising is that more people have been to Atlanta than Philly (72 to 68)

This doesnt really surprise me, Atlanta is the only city for hundreds of miles in its region and the only of any significance for what like 300-400 miles

that makes it even more surprising hun. With your dense urban expanse stretching forever you would think that more people would have access to Philly. you always say how Philly his a part of a continuous area populated by more than 25 million people. its just odd that the Philly numbers are not as high as Atlanta's.

I guess more people find Atlanta interesting

Well if people are traveling to the NE, Philly (or Boston) is maybe the third choice after NYC and DC - in the SE there is basically Atlanta and then what Charlotte the Triangle, maybe Charleston or Savannah (my two favorites to visit in the area actually)

and for what this poll is worth it is basically a dead heat this point between them but have seen numbers where Atlanta get something like 35 million visitors a year and philly 32, so the results in this poll are fairly consistent

but you always say how compact/ close to each other they are, and how convenient it is to go from one to the other. why not visit all 4?

90 voters so far have been to DC, huh? That's pretty good. Here's something that will unravel in a few days from now:
