the X hat was big in ny tho, for its time for a different reason, as were black bart t shirts and all that (all big around the same time). african medallions...etc. the raiders/sox thing was gang stuff. you don't have to be in a gang to want to be in one, hence all the ppl rocking reds hats.

I'd rather see our artists relegated to mixtapes and playing in local clubs than being known and produce Drake quality -ish. Our artists are not popular with the rest of the country because the rest of the country either listens to that p***y Kanye/B.O.B. -ish or the Southern poser country boy bass instrumentals with no lyrics trying to act hard.

And many NY rappers realized that:

"Because if you go platinum its got nothing to do with luck,
It just means that a million people are stupid as ****."

True fans of rap in other cities know whats up as well. "I like rap, but not the mainstream stuff" is heard more and more in cities throughout the country.

and then you woke up.

the only reasons that the yankees are liked are because of the city and the amount of wins/championships.
the sox have neither the city nor the wins.

*shrugs*

stop a random person and ask them if they can name *one* person on your roster. then do the same for the yankees. most ppl can name jeter but would struggle to name one person off of the sox.

That's fine. More people shop at walmart vs Neiman Marcus.
