I've never been to Duluth or Green Bay.

I'm partial to my hometown of Erie; it's a different kind of culture. I love Cleveland, too, as well as Milwaukee. Oh, hell, I like them all ...

I had a few problems with this poll. For starters, which do you want to know, "Your Top 3 Great Lakes Cities" or "the best great lakes cities"?
You asked for both yet they are two different questions. Someone may feel Chicago is the best but not necessarily like it. Duluth may be their favorite but they may not feel it is the best.

Secondly, I understand keeping this U.S. only and not having Toronto as an option. This thread would probably just devolve into a Chicago vs. Toronto debate. But why no Toledo? It is larger and more prominent than Erie, Duluth, or Green Bay. And if you are going to have small cities, why not have Muskegon and Bay City, MI or Kenosha and Racine, WI?

All that being said; I voted for Chicago because it is clearly the best, and for my current and former hometowns, Detroit and Cleveland. These two need all the love they can get.

Natural beauty - Buffalo
Attractions - Chicago
Restaurants - Chicago
Quality of Life - ?? Depends on how you quantify this. Chicago could be the best or worst in this depending on what you're looking for.
Weather - about the same

True. Although I think Toronto is better than Chicago overall.

I would agree. When used to live in the Cleveland/Akron area I would go there often. It's closer to Cleveland than any large US city of similar caliber.
