Which is better overall in quality of life, things to do, restaurants, location, amenities, cost of living, etc. I see that Boston is very expensive. Is Philly like this also?

QOL- By metro it's a toss-up, but just inner-city living, it's probably Boston.
Things to do- Tie
Restaurants- Both Good, but obviously Boston has fresher seafood options
location- Philly
Amenities- Probably about the same.
COL- Philly

Philly and Boston are two of the most similar cities in the country. Philly is like Boston with Baltimore attached to it. Philly just lacks a harbor in it's city proper, but has a long stretch of industrial/port activity from far South Philly all the way through Wilmington, DE.
