Also, leave Jacksonville out of it. We might have a "dead" core but we have one of the best neighborhoods in the country, the oldest city in the country less than an hour away, one of the best rivers in the country, world class beaches that any city would want, and... a GROWING population (-> #40 Table of United States Metropolitan Statistical Areas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)!
Just wondering, what's the "best neighborhood" you speak of? I was under the impression that their's a little bit of hood everywhere in the city of jacksonville

Let's see, Pittsburgh vs Jacksonville...why the hell would I choose Jacksonville?

To answer the OP, there are plenty of cities I would never live....but if I had to choose five it would look something like:
1. Phoenix (everything I hate in an expansive, strip-mall "city")
2. Indianapolis (epitome of Middle-American blandness with no upside)
3. Boston (extreme provincialism with annoying accents, terrible weather, despicable sports teams)
4. any city in any state which was once part of the Confederacy
5. any city in Texas, including Austin, even though it was covered in #4.

1. Miami - I would get irritated very easily with the people of Miami, talk about clueless.
2. Detroit - I don't want to die.
3. Jacksonville - Just look at the place.
4. Cleveland - Biggest bunch of whiners I've ever seen.
5. Sacremento - Most worthless city in the USA.

Look who's talking! You live in Oklahoma... Just look at the place, I don't want to die(of boredom). It's the most worthless state in the USA. It has some of the biggest bunch of whiners I've ever seen. And the people in Oklahoma? Clueless!

I'm not the biggest Oklahoma supporter because I've lived in Texas my whole life, but this is completely ridiculous.

The comments I said were half truth, half jokingly. I'm sure I could live in all those cities, I'm just basing it off of what I've seen in the media, news, and internet.

Oklahoma is a great state and there's plenty to do. Every American city and state basically has the same amenities and luxuries. Boredom is something created by people without hobbies or personality. Also I don't know very many whiners here in Oklahoma...I will say there's tons in Texas though, and I love Texas. As far as cluelessness is concerned, I meant people that lack common sense. From what I've seen Miami's full of fakes and women that strive for fist pumping champs. But once again I wasn't being completely serious. I'll admit there's a lot of stupidity were I live, but easily managed to find an intelligent group of friends.

Oklahoma isn't the most worthless state in the country. Look at the tremendous agricultural and energy sector in that state. And I strangely find the wide, open spaces soothing, like you can see a calm world into the horizon. Kinda nice in this world of go-go-go.

Let's be real--if not for coal mining and major river shipping, West Virginia would be the least needed state in the union, hands down. I can elaborate if anybody is interested.

Quite honestly, the cold, desolate areas of the Great Plains can always contribute huge value to the world with their agriculture. Once coal mining becomes a fraction of what it is now (which is already a fraction of what it once was), then what does WV have to contribute greatly to society?

Hell, even with Arkansas, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Alabama, their textile industries are menial fractions of what they once were. They're still very important to society, however. Those states also have larger percentages of land that are great for growing corn, soy, wheat, beans, cotton, etc.
