Don't know why these two cities have not been put toe to toe with criteria before.

Criteria will be:
  • Downtown vibe
  • Architecture
  • Port
  • Public Transportation
  • Highways
  • Influential to their state
  • Healthier economy
  • Housing stock
  • Entertainment
  • Sports
  • Affordability
  • Weather

Downtown vibe: San Francisco

Architecture: San Francisco

Port: Houston (Obviously)

Public Transportation: Roads, Buses, & HOV's go to Houston, Rail goes to San Francisco

Highways: Houston (Obviously)

Influential to their state: Houston has more influence on its state than San Francisco does on its state

Healthier economy: Houston (Obviously)

Housing stock: I prefer Houston

Entertainment: I prefer Houston

Sports: Rockets. I don't care about the rest

Affordability: Houston (Obviously)

Weather: Weather in general, has never bothered me at all. So I'm good with anything.

Overall: Houston. It's one of my favorite cities, and the competition is one of my least favorite cities. I love the Bay Area, but not San Francisco.

Downtown vibe-San Francisco by far
Architecture-San Francisco(loove the victorians)
Port-Houston wins, however the port of Oakland is huge, seems like kind of a silly criteria when comparing cities.
Public Transportation-San Francisco
Highways-Houston?(I would assume, as it is much more reliant on the automobile)
Influential to their state-tie(both are important)
Healthier economy-Houston(Houston has oil and cheap real estate)
Housing stock-San Francisco(I love the victorians, and urban vibe)
Entertainment-San Francisco(no question)
Sports-San Francisco(5 major pro teams, plus 2 college teams)
Affordability-Houston(definitely cheaper, but for a reason)
Weather-San Francisco(looove the weather)
Education-San Francisco(cant beat Cal and Stanford)

  • Healthier economy Houston by a wide margin

  • Affordability San Francisco is very, very cheap...far more affordable than expensive, snooty Houston...wait...is that right?
