Most of Maryland is mid-Atlantic or north, just like New York. The only part of Maryland that has noteable southern culture traits are the counties in southern Maryland and part of the eastern shore.

LOL, y'all are still on this? Mid-Atlantic,folks, with traits of both. Your area's a gray painted hallway to outsiders coming from either a black room or white one (the actual color not the people). Is D.C. the oddball? I guess so.

Like I said before, if Maryland and D.C. are southern than so is Delaware.
Just get over the fact part of Philly's metro is in the south.
