Three solidly Midwestern/east coast, but slightly southern cities. Which one is the most southern?

St. Louis and Cincy are definitely more southern than Bmore. I can't determine which one is more southern between the two. I've spend some time in Cincy and it's Kentucky lite.

I rank Cincy and St Louis as virtual equals in the southern routes. Baltimore is just below the Mason Dixon line and more like Philadelphia than Richmond.

I agree. Close call between Cincinnati and St. Louis. They feel more southern than they used to be. Both also have some development patterns, especially in the suburbs, that resemble southern commercial and residential districts.

You need to do stand up. This routine has been going on for years and years. The southern most point of New Jersey is farther south than Baltimore.

And there are parts of VA that are farther west than Detroit. Does that make Virginia Midwestern?

I think Cincy is most southern, Missouri is too midwestern and Baltimore is not southern to me.

Baltimore’s metro has attributes of southern culture to it but the city itself is about as far from typical southern as a city can get.

You coould make a realistic argument for either Cinci or St. Louis in this thread
