New York & Atlanta. New York/Positive: Atlanta/Negative

Lately, Washington DC & Bay Area also (especially San Jose).

Also is it just me, or do cities that don't get as much national or international attention in real life get talked about endlessly and boosted endlessly on City-Data? Maybe its just me.

ATL seems to have a little more negative views on here than the others on the poll, and there's a lot of arguments, yet a lot of praise with NYC. Those are the two I notice the most on CD.

It's rather strange how Atlanta is so talked about on C-D. That's completely at odds with real life.

Maybe it has to do with being considered the "capital of the south" and therefore being pretty important to folks in that region. However, outside the south, Atlanta is not at all on most people's radars. Cities like Miami, Nashville and Houston are much more so.

The positives for Atlanta on this forum only come from Atlantans who cant see any negatives to their city, IMO. NYC gets both positives and negatives, however both are the most talked about cities on this forum

I agree with the "rankings" of this post, but there are many negative comments about New York and many positive about Atlanta, also Houston,DC,Boston,Miami and several other cities should be included in this poll and I don't know why is Detroit here
Agree with the rest of the post too

Atlanta seems to always come up...in every general thread. Of the top 25 largest metros in the US, there are some that you never hear about ever outside regional forums. You hear little about Minneapolis and I can't remember ever hearing anything about Cincinnatti. But if it's a general thread regarding top____ cities in the US, you know Atlanta will be up for debate(for something) and New York will be boasted about by New Yorkers... Houston and Dallas will get thrown in the mix usually as does the Bay Area, Chicago, Boston, etc... Suprisingly LA for it's size, doesn't seem to be as big a topic of debate.

ATL, LA, and Detroit seem to get a lot of negative things said about them. Yet there are a large number of people who post positively about these cities. I doubt any of the cities listed have more haters than lovers and supporters. They are all excellent cities!

NYC gets mostly postive things said. Bay Area and DC probably even more hyped.

Detroit def has more haters than lovers. there are only a few people who actually stick up for us smh. Anything negative, Detroit is mentioned, even when the thread has nothing to do with Detroit.
