Here are some ridership levels for various aspects

List of United States rapid transit systems by ridership - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

List of United States light rail systems by ridership - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

List of United States commuter rail systems by ridership - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

List of United States local bus agencies by ridership - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

problem is many of these lists dont have other systems in the CSA, hard to compare, like in the Philly CSA there is Reading, Wilmington DE, Allentown Bethlehem, and all the NJ Transit that includes numbers for jersey, Philly and NYC that they service

I am always amazed the SF is placed above Philly so often on here, from my perspective and having lived in both the PT options and coverage in Philly and the area is superior, i would agree that boston, DC, and Chicago would be ahead of philly though

I would put Chicago at number 2 and DC at number 3.

Sure. I've had limited experience, though some, with SEPTA and BART. I'd defer to someone who has more experience.

Is that the wikipedia figure for the wmata subway? I'm pretty sure that the average is much less than that. More like 730,000. They have the figures on their website.
