Definitely adequate mass transit and a decent sized arena...our current one looks like an antique high school gym. We have a crappy performing arts center with a tiny...almost worthless stage and the seats are too small and close together even for children. Our metropolitan area is over 650,000 people.
Well, Orlando's buses look really cool! LOVE THE LYNX! As for chain restaurants, yeah ... that's a problem. We were there one time and asked the hotel concierge for some recommendations on "good local restaurants" and she suggested Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Seriously.
Ha I'm not defending her family friendly response at all, but those are "good" chains and Orlando is the only place where they technically qualify as local restaurants. Since Darden is HQed in Orlando, I think they pay the hotels to suggest them to all out of town guests .

They used to be even cooler when more companies and organizations paid to have the buses painted like a giant billboard. Now only some of them do while most simply feature a small, easy to change advertisement placard. Here's a few examples of ones that still do:
from pictures i've seen on here, a whole bunch of cities in the south need nicer downtowns or just completely redone downtowns. some of them have looked abandoned and thrashed. that is one area everybody visits, so if that looks bad...
i don't know if some of the pics were taken after a storm or something...but i doubt it.
