Houston's Galleria definately deserves a mention here. Lots of wealthy Latin Americans from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and Central America go there to spend money while in town. Plus alot of stores there have one of their few US locations there.
Yes, Houston's Galleria is upscale, huge, and I hear loads of other languages being spoken.
King of Prussia could be the best mall in the United States, because no other mall is that big, that much of a national (and international) tourist destination, and that upscale all at the same time.
The Mall of America is disqualified for having an amusement park in the middle of it. Yes, the mall does have its upscale stores and features, but really, could you imagine The Park at King of Prussia, or South Coast Plaza & Theme Park? I didn't think so.
And while there might be a couple of malls out there that are more upscale than King of Prussia, they're all smaller and don't get nearly as much business. King of Prussia is not a misnomer; it really is the king.
Tyson's Corner because it has a Pt.1 (For the Middle and Working Class) and a Pt.2 for the (Rich and Upper Class) its very Diverse and has something for everyone.
Bal Harbor is more luxurious hands down. Most stores will have their sales people dressed in suits. However, Aventura Mall is much larger and attracts a more diverse and international crowd.
Ala Moana is like an open air version of Aventura Mall. Bal Harbor is on an other level; think Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
Bal Harbor is destination shopping for lots of International travelers from South America and Europe. I can hardly afford to breathe in that center.
hmm no one else has mentioned either the Garden State Plaza or Short Hills Mall in NJ..
