Re: Oakland. I totally agree. My street has cute (and ugly) mid-century condos/apartments, victorians and craftsmans. The next street over adds some spanish style homes and those east coast-y styles that I don't know the name of that just scream POSH. A few blocks away are the glam 20s style buildings. It is pretty great, architecture in Oakland is so underrated. Downtown, around the Lake and even on the Auto Row you can find some great stuff: gothic buildings, deco, 20s sky scrapers.
@Ninties Flava: you didn't even get any ranch homes.
No not really just tired of small towners comparing themselves to NYC
You live in a sunbelt city you can't talk shxt.
lol
Hell if DC could somehow annex its inner suburbs inside the beltway it would still be more dense than Dallas.

You live in a small town of 68 sq miles with a density of 9000 ppsm, that is pretty pathetic atleast SF has a high density which it should for such a small city yet you guys can't even top 10,000 smh.

phis.Memphis has a wide range if archtectural diversities that i just think goes underrated most of the time. Courtesy of the poster pineywoodsfats.
There is an incredible diversity of architecture in NYC, including some Dutch influenced housing you will not find anywhere in the US. I have to say NYC and its surrounding areas are the most diverse in the US.
