Funny, I was in Helsinki in early July and it's a beautiful but rather boring city. My wife and I were in the Kaupattori Market and we were talking to a local vendor when my wife said "I would love to see Helsinki in winter". The gentleman said "whatever you do in life, don't come to Helsinki in winter!".

I would imagine it's a very pretty/cool place. I wouldn't mind checking it out someday. That said, I always get a chuckle when I see the lists showing tons of small Northern European cities as the best places to live in the world.
