Yet another example of why I say that the arts have a greater impact on Cleveland. The Cleveland International Film Festival that just ended drew 78,000 people, compared to Chicago which only drew 70,000. That's pretty impressive for a metro more than 5 times smaller.
Anyway, which film festival in Chicago? International? Childrens? Underground? Latino? Horror? United? LGBT? Outdoor? Irish? Asian American? Palestine? Italian? Cine Youth? African Diaspora? Onion City? Short Comedy? Black Harvest? Polish?

I think we've been over this. Cleveland has great arts. Cleveland was (perhaps) a world class city, with a lot of wealth and a lot of philanthropic people, and the arts developed during that time, and those things don't go away.
Cleveland's art is certainly cheaper and probably more accessible than Chicago's, by virtue of the fact that Cleveland is smaller in population and geographically smaller so the art is easier for people to get to.
But is Cleveland's art better than Chicago's? That's such a subjective question that it's not even thread-worthy....
