Yeah, I know, this has probably been done before a million times, but I don't see any real recent threads like it, so I'm going to start one. Excluding your own state (just to make it fair), what state do you believe to have the most beautiful scenery overall?

I'm going to vote for Oregon. In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing that can compare to the Oregon coast.

How about a poll?

I agree with the above poster, a poll would be nice. Just include all 50 states so we can see which states come out on top overall as more people vote.

As for me, I have not really done that much travelling within the U.S., although I do travel internationally quite frequently, 2-3 times a year, so my experience within the states is rather limited. Out of the whopping 5 states I've been to , I would say North Carolina is the prettiest. From the Banks to the mountains, everything is just so beautiful. Much better than flat ol' Florida.

I vote Oregon and Washington as prettiest state. Coast, real mountains, huge peaks, lots of microclimates, and beauty.

You MUST have flown there, because the drive from the East is unforgetably forgetable!
