I don't know who Chicagoans are trying to kid. I've had to spend extended periods of time in that area and a) the cold makes your face freeze, b) it can border on frostbite, and c) it feels like you're about to break your car key when opening the door and the steering column ignition feels "less cooperative."

the only problem I have with Chicago weather is that it gets too hot and humid in the summer (like 2 months).....which is how Houston is for about 6 months.

I would imagine that Houston is like San Antonio or humid places like (Orlando) this can get hot in the summer but have days where its freezing cold.

A couple thousand years ago homosapiens invented clothing.
Wear it.

One difference is there's no cabin fever season in Houston. Sure, when it's 95 outside, it's more comfortable to be inside with the air conditioning, but there's still plenty of people getting into outdoor activities. Folks are going to the park, barbecuing, and spoiled little kids spend 3/4 of their summer in a pool. I even remember going to outdoor sporting events like trackmeets and such.

Outside life doesn't halt in Houston's "extreme" weather as much as it seems to in Chicago's.

It doesn't snow every single day.
And no. Blizzards don't happen every year.

Thunderstorms.. rainshowers...
Do they happen everyday in houston?
