Someone did a Buckhead vs. Arlington thread a little while ago and I don't think the two match up all that well, but it seems that perhaps Sandy Springs and Silver Spring do. So, who wins the matchup based on qualities such as growth, economy/corporate base, education, culture, shopping, transit, skyline, etc.?

This is a very bad comparison. Silver Spring is very urban and densely built like a major downtown. Sandy Spring is not. The links below show how different they are.

Whatsup with all these DC vs Atl threads, the two don't compare. DC is way ahead for now.

Do know what Atlanta’s Perimeter Center is? Sandy Springs isn't as urban as Silver Spring but why did you post something in Sandy Springs way away from the Major CBD? come on now.

Locally known as The king and queen towers, Concourse Corporate Center V and VI are tallest building in any US suburb.

Bad representation for both places with the Google maps, but aside from that, you DO know that the built environment is not the only criterion that counts when comparing two places, right? That's why I gave a list of characteristics to compare the two places.

Sandy Springs has some lovely residential neighborhoods, but its' Achilles Heel is its' CBD that runs up Roswell Road. There was very little attention to proper zoning from the get-go; these days, it's mostly a collection of tired looking shopping centers and apartment complexes. I find Silver Springs' CBD to be far more attractive.

Sandy Springs because Sandy Springs has better transportation (3 Marta stops) and Silver Springs only has 1 stop
