It's got to be:

1. New York
2. Seattle
3. Philadelphia
4. Chicago
5. Atlanta

Other big cities like Boston, LA, D.C., and San Francisco spend much more time defending themselves than outright bragging (largely because of their skyline or density).

I'm not from Philly and it's obvious that it is on the same level in many ways (though very arguably above Baltimore as are the rest of the list). It's a well-known city with a lot of amenities and a core density on the same level of San Francisco and Boston. It has the city amenities, it has the history, and it has the population. Why isn't Philly on the same level?

The only thing I see is a certain defensiveness around Philly due to people insisting it's not on the same level. That's understandable given how far off the perceptions people have of Philly are compared to what is actually there.

Anyone from a city that's dense. Cd members from dense cities love to brag about being crammed into small areas like rats and think it makes them better than people who grew up with a driveway and neighbors they couldn't hear having sex at night.

Allright already, we know you have the best corn palace in the world but you don't have to be constantly beating the rest of us over the head with your corn palace's invincibility. Besides, who's to say a corn palace is that much superior to a castle made out of pancakes in the first place? If there was such a thing of course.

I wold agree with the list except I would add cleveland and take of New orleans and switch Houston for Dallas. These are the cities that have the most going for them and have alot to brag about. But really Most of the cities are not braging there just comparing there cities .

It's not comparing when one is asked to compares their city to another, and they answers are: Is this a joke; no comparison; *insert cocky city* wins hands down; we have the best; we are denser; are you really comparing us to a suburb; our GDP is blah blah blah....

All of the cities above have the strong aspect listed, its just that they bring it up (specifically in City vs City forums) a lot when people already know New York is big, or Denver has mountains.
