Weather Geeks come out of the Closet.
Details on the differences in weather for every season for each city.
Of course I can pull a bunch of stats online but I am looking for interpretations of those stats, real life experiences from natives over many years.
Describe microclimates in Detail if there are any.
Example of a microclimate that matters: In SF in July, it can be socked in with heavy fog on the west side at Ocean Beach (57 degrees, 90% humidity), cloudy and gray, slighty drizzly because of the fog, slight breeze and feel down right cold;
however, you drive 3 miles over the hill into Eureka Valley (63 degrees) (in the heart of SF), no fog, few clouds, partially sunny, coolish, further yet, you drive 6 miles further east to the bay, lets say over by the Giants BallPark (69 degrees), no fog, no clouds, full Sun, feels great, no wind.
or, You drive North, 17 miles, over the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County (79 degrees) (San Rafael) and it's 10-15 degrees warmer, full sun, no wind at all,
or, You drive, East, 25 miles over the Bay Bridge over the Berkeley Hills into Walnut Creek (93 degrees, 15% humidity) and its very warm, almost hot, full Sun, no breeze.
Weather stats can never really describe it, or a week-long visitor will never been able to really describe SF weather. You have to live there for a while to really know it.
Don't over-exaggerate or lie.
Thanks!
