Can you quantify this? If you've never visited AC, how can you know Orlando's downtown has more to do than AC?
I too have the same question. I've been to downtown Orlando (and yes it's nice, especially the lake practically embedded in the middle), but I don't see how one can simply say: there's more to do there. Sure, Orlando isn't all theme parks, but AC isn't only casinos (could you imagine?)
If you took the casinos out of Atlantic City, the town would be a joke. I can't even believe that we're having a serious discussion about such a comparison.
There's a whole beach right around the corner. What would Orlando really be w/o Universal? An earlier post didn't a member suggest how Universal overshadows the rest of the city?
It's a decent enough city for sure, but it seems you guys are trying to paint it as some mega-city w/ limitless nightlife etc. etc.

I didn't say there is plenty more to do in the DT Orlando Area...I said Orlando has plenty more to do as a city. Its simply the truth. Does AC have as many attractions and things to do for both kids and adults as orlando all mixted into one city? Orlando has far more to do as a city imo.
Are you kidding me, Atlantic City has Casinos, non stop entertainment, some of the best clubs on the east coast, and is open 24 hours a day. DT o Orlando is tiny.
Who cares if downtown Orlando is tiny? It has enough to keep me entertainned..not to mention the Attractions near and around the city. AC is a small town..If it were the same size as Orlando, I have no doubt that it would be another #1 tourist destination like Orlando is. But AC is just a town with Casinos (in my eyes). Don't argue with my opinion..just know that its my opinion. If you don't share the same opinion, thats okay, but its not like i'm going to change my mind. i'd honestly spend 5 days in Orlando on a vacation than 5 days in Atlantic City on a vacation.

Those things you listed are fine, but that isn't bullet-point criteria for a city w/ more to do, and doesn't really show how Orlando has 'far more to do as a city'.
The thread seems to ask which one you would rather visit and for that reason since I'm 21 I would more rather visit Atlantic City. It's also on the coast which is something I personally prefer so much.
I would rather live in Orlando though and if I was going to vacation with my family then definitely Orlando.
No but where does Orlando have "world class" boardwalks?
Yes, actually a lot of those hotels are on par with Orlando's.

LOL yes. It's seriously like a coastal eastern version of Las Vegas except smaller and no mountains. Ever watch Viva La Bam? Bam can easily state that Atlantic City has a great nightlife for its size. Seriously.

You haven't proven this, going around saying this 50 times in the thread doesn't mean its a fact. What can you do in Orlando that you cant in Atlantic City on vacation besides the theme parks shindig?

What kind of statement is that? If you took Church Street out of Orlando the downtown would be a joke. The fact is AC has casinos and downtown Orlando has Church Street and both are relevant in the discussion.
