That concurs closely with what other experts believe. 3 downtowns seem to stand above the rest. manhattan,Chi and Philly. I hear this quite often.

The extended Center City neighborhood has 275,000 people (Washington to Girard)roughly 6-7 sq mi and those people are among the wealthiest in Philadelphia.Granted the city of Philadlephia is not noted for their wealth but the population that lives in Center City tends to be young, well educated, and upwardly mobile.

Universities such as Penn,Drexel,Temple add another 100,000 students to the mix.
I dont think Phillys stands far above Boston or San Fran, thats an exageration.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Im just going by what the experts are saying.

I had an editor for a travel magazine tell me that Center City resembles the quaint European cities more than any other city in the USA. Would I make something like that up?

Downtown Los Angeles rules while Philly tries to have a decent downtown.

Why would anyone in their right mind vote for Los Angeles?
