just how new york city easily represents the northeast as in the city that pops to mind when you hear northeast, just like chicago of the midwest and los angeles of the west, which southern city best represents the city...which city comes to mind first when you think of the south?
now days, i think it is Atlanta, but what are you all thoughts

Atlanta represents the South
Dallas represents Texas
New Orleans represents the Gulf Coast
Houston is kind of hard to define. Doesn't really represent anything. It's just there.

The city that always comes to mind when I think of the south is not even in the list
Charleston So.Carolina, IMO it represents the south more
than any of those other cities being polled.
