Ok, well how about you go live in those cities since they are all that to you and let Charlotte and the rest of North Carolina grow at the rate that they want to. Stop putting North Carolina cities up against these other cities. At least North Carolina's metros are more well balanced compared to Georgia. Where you basically just have Atlanta. Atlanta doesn't even allow the other 2nd tier cities such as Macon, Augusta, Columbus, Athens, & Savannah to shine and expand.
What does that mean? None of our second tier cities will shine like Atlanta, it’s a global city at this point. However, Augusta and Savannah are well known, Savannah is very well-known actually.

I was wondering how this zombie post came back to life.
Short answer to your question: Nothing has changed, except the gulf between Atlanta and the NC cities alone or combined has widened.

They maybe well-known but you don't even hear people talking about moving to those 2 cities. If they are just as well-known then how come they are not as big as Atlanta?
Gosh, where do I sign up for membership in the Atlanta Second-Tier Georgia City Oppression Movement? You know we live to see them fail.
Savannah and Athens don't 'shine and expand'? You have a serious credibility problem.
I give those other cities alot of credibility, I would actually like to visit both Augusta and Savannah and even Macon and Columbus. But when it comes to Atlanta, Atlanta takes all that shine and credit from the other Georgia cities leaving them in the dark. If they are just as well-known and shine then how come they are not as big as Atlanta?
Totally underestimating the Piedmont region. Charlotte itself has about 75% of the same stores all though a lesser number of stores due to the perspective size of the cities....
That is exactly what they are doing, what is the point in trying to compare any of NC's medium to large size Cities/MSA regions to the Atlanta giant city/MSA region. Knowing good and well Atlanta is going to shine brighter? Let NC grow at the rate that it wants to grow.
