Favorite regional-center U.S. city at or above the 45th parallel? (live, better)

The 45th parallel north marks the halfway point to the north pole from the equator.
This forum heavily favors the south so vote on your favorite northern cities based on the usual criteria.

hmm... just an interesting tidbit to add, only cities east of Michigan above the 45th paralell would be Colebrook, NH (lots of lakes) and the crown of Maine (Houlton/Caribou/Presque Isle). It's potato country up there. 45th paralell also straddles the Vermont/Quebec border.
Out of the cities listed I'd choose Seattle or Portland as they have the most temperate weather, not a fan of cold winters.
