Because most Rangers fans are in Dallas, just like most Angels fans are in Los Angeles.

I don't think Arlington will ever get PT. They have voted it down more than once. Even Plano, Garland, Carrollton etc. have PT before Arlington.

Or maybe not- it's among the 50 most populated cities and grew 10% since 2000.

The Angles were originally located in LA but the Rangers never played in Dallas or even inside Dallas County. On the news they said if the Rangers won the World Series the parade would be in Arlington because the team is based in Arlington. The fans were all saying the same thing too.

Dallas and Fort Worth should annex Arlington. Dallas should take Cowboys Stadium, Rangers Ballpark, and Six Flags over Texas. Fort Worth should take the GM plant, The Parks (Mall) at Arlington, and The University of Texas at Arlington. The other suburbs can have the other stuff because without UTA, Cowboys Stadium, the Parks Mall, Six Flags, GM, and Rangers Ballpark the rest of the city is worthless.

Fort Worth would have to take over Arlington. Dallas and Arlington are seperated by Grand Prarie and Irving.

Fort Worth combined with Arlington would be interesting. It would be closer in size to Dallas.

They do some weird annexing in DFW. Like how Fort Worth has the strip that goes up through Euless, Grandprairie and Arlington by the airport.

Dallas annexed Lake Ray Hubbard and North Lake but its not connected to the city limits of Dallas.
