How much is "theirs" and how much are visitors AND passerby's from D.C., Philly, New York, etc.?

This is why Chicago has even worse traffic than it should for its size -- because it's a logistical haven AND because you HAVE to pass through it to go from the Northwest to the Northeast (of it), which includes major cities from Seattle to Boston and inbetween.

I'm curious if Austin's recently added freeways have helped take some of the congestion off of I-35.......Austinites?
Mopac (Loop 1) is the other major N/S freeway, but it can get equally congested at times...that's it. Mopac at least has the ability to expand to another lane, whereas IH-35 is SOL and cannot expand at all in the most congested parts. All this, and the City is still waffling about expanding PT

Adapt or die! If infrastructure limits the ability of people, G&S, etc. from getting from point A to point B, it will choke out the ability of the city to grow and expand. Austin better find a creative way to fix this problem if they want their city to continue to bloom the way it has been the past 10-20 years!

Cincy can some fairly bad traffic for a city its size. I-71 usually isn't too bad, but I-75 can be a headache sometimes, especially during the summer months and major travelling holidays because of the travelers from Michigan and Ontario. 71/75 down to 275 in Northern Kentucky, fuggedaboutit! That can be bad on a regular day.

Pray tell.

Traffic isn't fun here, but most of the time, getting around during non-peak hours is a breeze.

The city has been trying to find ways to reduce traffic, like the new SH 130 toll road which runs parallel to IH 35, the new commuter rail line from downtown Austin to Leander, also trying to encourage more people the use different transportation options like riding the bus, biking, carpool, ect. But sadly it's not having much effect if any. What needs to be done is widing 35 in most congested areas, add light rail, or street car system, also add more TOD's and high density mixed use projects in and around downtown.
