I will admit that Houston it is a combination of defending and boosting, but yes, like Phoenix, Detroit, Charlotte, Orlando, Jacksonville, OKC and a few other places, when Houston is brought up by non residents it is almost 100% trashing.
I work in NYC now. I spend enough time in Boston and Philadelphia that they're both very familiar too. Love them all, but let's try something new. I'd like to give Chicago, Denver, or Seattle a try.
Phoenix isn't often boosted here, it is more often than not trashed.
You should have replaced it with Atlanta. Can't believe Atlanta is not on the list.
Oops.... I though I had put Atlanta on there... my bad!
Also, keep in mind, everyone, that it's $5k, after taxes, rent not inclusive. He's paying the rent for you. $5k is for living expenses, credit card/school loan payments, your regular salary. So you've basically got six months rent-free in a location of your choosing!
I live in Philly, so rule that out. Out for the others, the only ones I'd consider are NYC, Chicago, SF, Seattle, Denver and Boston. Of those, I've only been to Chicago a couple of times and feel I've barely scratched the surface, so that's my choice.
What do you mean!? People "love" that 4 season living, who wants monotonous 80 degree Miami "winters"......
The wind was the killer today 40 mph gusts suck in the winter, dont let anyone tell you otherwise
Without the wind today it would not have been bad at all, actually 30 and sunny with no wind isnt really all that bad IMHO
I dont love the cold, dislike the heat more and yes I do like the seasons actually, the wind sucked today though
I would choose Miami for the winter 6 months given the choice, not the summer actually, though sadly last time I was in Miami it went down to 40; still was better than where I came from but a disappointment as it went to 78 the day I left

Is he your boss or a John?
