I'd like to explore the Inner/Outer Sunset, Inner/Outer Richmond, Mission, Presidio, Potrero, Upper Haight, and Haight-Ashbury districts. (I've been to H/A, but only for like 30 minutes.)
Updates to come.
I would also add Noe Valley to your list of places to explore, it is right next to Mission, very cool neighborhood with a lot of families. Also If you haven't done this yet, drive up Twin Peaks BLVD for some really nice views of the City.
#1 - Oklahoma City. YAWN! One city that makes me need depression Rx so I don't put a bullet in my head from boredom.
#2 - New York City. Have lived in Brooklyn, tried to like it, but the people... Jeez. Arrogance & obnoxiousness must be either standard issue or just contagious there. And just dirty & depressing.
#3 - Norfolk. I like VA Beach, but I can NOT stand Norfolk...
#4 - Boston. Only been twice and actually will be there again soon and I'm NOT looking forward to it. Rude people, dreary city.
#5 - Jacksonville. I imagined that it would be a nice beach city, but it's mediocre at best. But worst of all... THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE
#6 - Philadelphia. Actually not all that bad... Just need to round off the list and this is the next to come to mind.
Really don't mind most other places... But the next places on my list would have to be places that I just can't deal with the cold in.
Before I went there for a week, I was told of the overall beauty and the wonderful nightlife.
Yes, the city was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The highrise condos with the mountain backdrop were beautiful. On the other hand, the nightlife wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I expected more options and better places to go. Late at night I found one bar full of muscled up jocks where I thought it would erupt into a fight at any moment due to over crowding.
Then there was the people in general. I'm from Boston, so I'm used to aloof, snooty, unfriendly people...but Vancouver people took the cake. I felt like people were very unhelpful, arrogant and the homeless people were more aggressive than anywhere I've ever been. I'd go back for the scenery and the mountains, but that's about it.
NYC. And any larger city in NC (Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh are generic, boring -- only liked Asheville & Wilmington) or Arizona (hated Phoenix, unimpressed by Sedona and Scottsdale). And strangely enough, don't really like Portland. Tried to like all of these places...
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

weird, I thought the Riverwalk in San Antonio was beautiful and attractive. I'd go back again for the friendly people and awesome food. My favorite city in Texas.
I can't think of any large city that truly fits this description for me and I could live in any city, especially depending on the circumstances. I guess the ones I can't see myself living in at this point of my life are Miami, Memphis, and New Orleans. All are fine cities in their own right, but they are not for me right now.
