ok so to make this as short as possible,

i am a young entrepreneur that is looking to start up a business somewhere, it isnt a restaurant or anything but a product

anyways i live in southern california right now and i decided i need to get out of here, both that is bad for business but moreover i just need to get out to start over completely

im looking for a city that is very pro business and safe..

ive done hours upon hours of research and youtube city tours and all that and i still cant make a decision, because basically once i make a decision it will be about a year before i set things in motion to leave..

so far the cities i have interest in are,

austin, dallas, raleigh, columbus, and the san francisco/san jose area

First thing is who are you going to market your product to? Middle income Americana Joe Six pack hand-egg (er, I mean football) watching guys? Or higher income yuppies? Nerds? Are you marketing it to a lot of families? Go to where your product will be needed.

Does it require a patent?

Have you laid out your business case? Will it require significant start up money from investors?

You say you want to get out of SoCal because its bad for business, but in my opinion SanFran and San Jose aren't much better.

Does the weather factor into anything? Infrastructure? How important is it that you have to be in an urban area?

Before anybody can really comment you have to answer these questions at a minimum.

Based on future growth and current cost of living, I'd say Austin or Raleigh.
