Ha, just as many people moved to Staten Island as Puerto Rico.
So I guess percentage wise, at least for Manhattan residents, Washington DC has more. Raw numbers its LA.
Or (excluding Tri-State area cities), it could be Chicago, Washington or San Francisco.
Most of Los Angeles county isn't Los Angeles city and that table is county to county.
Los Angels, CA population: 3,792,621
Los Angeles County population: 9,818,605
LA's stats are beefed up because Los Angeles County is largest county in the United States. If we drew a comparable parameter around Chicago, Washington DC or San Francisco the results would look very different. You'd have to look at it at a metro level to find out which region has the most Manhattan transplants. Probably impossible to find stats for city limits.
Yeah NC has alot of transplants from NY/NJ. Florida is mostly yankees but I think there is a higher percentage of NY transplants in Orlando then Miami. It seems like Miami has plenty of transplants from all over the country as well as the world but I feel like 3 out of 5 people I meet in Orlando are from NY. And I think Tampa has more Mid-western transplants then New England.

I wonder why people aren't voting Orlando. Orlando is filled with NYC transplants.

There's an old joke in Florida that Northern transplants from the Midwest stay on I-75 and settle in the Bay Area and the SW coast, while people from the Northeast hit the Turnpike or I-95 and aim for Orlando and SE Florida.
It's sort of true, actually......but Orlando seems to be a mix of all of them to me.

There's a reason why the I4 corridor is an important region in general elections. The Orlando area is a pivotal area. A president has to win over CFL in order to get a fair chance of getting elected. NY transplants can turn the area blue while the natives can turn it red.
My vote still goes to Miami.
Fort Lauderdale
Orlando
Tampa
Atlanta
DC
in that order for the polls.
However, cities added to this list should be:
Los Angeles
Chicago
Raleigh
Charlotte
San Francisco
& quite a few mid-sized southern cities as well including Palm Coast, FL, Fort Pierce, FL, Charleston, SC, Wilmington, NC, Asheville, NC, Savannah, GA, Fort Myers, FL, Cape Coral, FL, Bradenton-Sarasota, FL.
Back in 06/07 there were so many NY/NJ license plates in Raleigh that i think they outnumbered the NC liscence plates. There are still alot now.
Very very very true. I do remember a point in time where there were just as many NY tags as NC, it was very crazy to me. So if I had to say one it would be Raleigh but its not on the poll.
