While the Houston Galleria is one of the most popular things about the city, I would say the building next to it, Williams Tower, is more iconic to the city. I think it still remains the tallest building of a CBD in the country. Its 300ft taller than the next tallest building in the Galleria area. Whenever you are driving at night in central Houston, you can't miss the tower with its beacon lit up much like a lighthouse.

Another thing that is iconic to Houston (or at least was) is the Astrodome. The world's first domed stadium and the "Eighth Wonder of the World." However, right now its in a pretty sad state and decaying everyday.

Hmm... come to think about it I can't decide what's the iconic NYC food... Bagels? Pizza? Pretzels? Nathan's hot dogs? Pastrami? Buffalo is lucky their iconic food has their name in the title.

... damn... now I REALLY want some buffalo wings...
