Texas fighters stole a Mexican cannon...was their way of saying "Want it back?"
Dude! THAT IS SO AWESOME!!! Beats the crap out of the "Lone Star" that flies today...
And I thought Nevada's "Battle Born" on a flag was cool, but These 2 Texas flags are just GANGSTER!!! Just BAAADDD!!! LOVE EM!!!
There should be a Texas sports team that uses the severed arm & sabre as their logo!
JUST IMAGINE!!! A new NFL team: The San Antonio Sabres
Helmet logo is the severed arm & sword on a white helmet.
In the endzone, instead of saying San Antonio, or Sabres, it reads "Come and take it"
And the team be a defensive powerhouse!!! Over the stadium flies the Texas Flag, the arm & sword flag, the come & take it cannon, and all the other 6 flags. And they'd beat up on the New England Patriots!!! LOL!
Those are the 2 most BAD A** Flags that have ever flown anywhere in this nation (so far to my knowledge)!!! I mean, those are so bad, they're competing with Pirate flags!!!
Growing up in NY, I really like the flag - both from the aesthetic and it's meaning

From the ships passing in commerce on the hudson valley, to the eagle dominating the north atlantic, to the blind scales of justice and lady liberty with a disposed monarchy crown at her feet holding up the cap that signified freed slaves in roman times - topped with a simple "excelsior"
I now live in AZ and I really don't care for our flag here - although I get it, I just don't really like the look/colors on it
If I had to pick some to pair with NY I would probably have them like this, in no particular order:
NY
RI
SC
VA (again, love the boldness of treading on the tyrant and proclaiming "thus always to tryants")
WY
CA
FL
NM
CT
PA
SD would have cracked the list if they didn't give up "The Sunshine State"

I loved Maryland's when I lived there. Love that the Baltimore Ravens both incorporate the flag AND a hometown literary reference ("The Raven" an ominous poem by long-time B'More Resident Edgar Allen Poe). While I DETEST the Ravens, I think they've done a great job with a creative, local name and incorporating the flag was great.
Also love Rhode Island's flag. "Hope" with the anchor.
1. MD (looking at a glimpse of all the flags in one pic, MD flag definetly stands out)
2. Arizona
3. Alaska (its real simple, but i likes)
4. Alabama (one big X..dont know y i like it but i do)
5. DC
