I think its safe to say the violence in Chicago is getting out of hand.
Dont join a gang or sit on a corner on the west/south side at 2am selling drugs and you'd really never know it was happening if you didn't read the papers. Kinda crazy.
Strangely overall crime is down 10% from last year, following a general pattern over the past 15-20 years. It's just murders/shootings that are up. They took out a ton of gang leadership over the past year, which leaves these teenagers in the drug/gang trade left with no structure. They're basically running around at 3am popping off at one another with guns.
Yeah but that is just for the actual city of Atlanta. That is not counting Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, Gwinnett or Dekalb Counties which is where most people in the metro live. The population of the actual city of Atlanta is barely over 500,000, but the metro is over 6 million. To truly get an accurate count you would have to include the 5 core counties. Dekalb County by itself has had more murders than Atlanta the last few years. Fulton County is always good for about 20-30 murders with College Park, East Point, and Union City south of Atlanta. Even Gwinnett and Cobb have some halfway parts were murders are not unheard of. And Clayton is slowly becoming the worst county out of all of them. Yeah Atlanta still has some hoods, but some parts of places like Riverdale, Decatur, Stone Mountain, are getting just as bad.You couldn't give me a house in Clayton County right now.
Same with DC, how many murders did PG have? I would bet that is just as high or higher than DC. I count the whole metro area, because in some cities that is the only way you can get a clear picture of the crime.
If you are going to add suburbs do the same for every city not just Atlanta
