Curious as to anyone's thoughts on which cities have best vibrant, friendly, creative communities? Good places to meet interesting people who are involved with the community but also enjoy a chill evening just sipping beer. This is a HUGE generalization and I know you can find peeps like this anywhere, but wondering if certain cities are more disposed to fostering this particular environment.

I'd imagine Austin TX, San Fran, and LA to be near the top of that list. Wondering how Philly, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago all rate according to various opinions?

I think maybe I'm not wording this right...I'm thinking: vibrant creative community with lots of options, but not diehard stress and insane drive.

New Orleans. The people, city, culture, etc.. is just so unique and strong there. To me, that city truly feels like it has a soul and a ton of character than few cities can match.

The New Orleans area is an Intresting blend of Classic southern, Cajun bleeding in, and Creole.
I have a feeling this tread is going to turn into a flame war quick because its just so Subjective.

Los Angeles should be on that list. It's got it's own unique vibe that isn't "generic" or found in most other cities. And I'm not talking about celebrities! All the ethnic enclaves and the ecclectic mix of nationalities in LA give such and amazing personality, it would be a crime to think LA isn't among the most vibrant cities in the country, let alone the world.
