My wife's name is Tamika LOL. She's from Columbia, SC. We met in Greensboro @ NC A&T.
It's funny u say that, because my parents say the same thing. "Most black people leave CHA to go to ATL, MIA, DC, 757, etc." But we left Carolina together to move to Seattle for about 2 years, and from there we moved to Denver.
But I have to admit, we really did like Charlotte. I was in the military in Fayetteville for 4 years, then in school in Greensboro for 4 years. I would always ride to Charlotte to hang out and party. A lot of fun there. And my in-laws were from Columbia, just down I-77 about an hour. We would meet them halfway in Charlotte a lot to eat and stuff.
Ha, Tamika huh? She's didn't go to Columbia HS say 91-94ish did she? I knew a Tamika at that time oh so very long ago. Small world. My folks are still down there.
BTW, Denver all the way.

The front range is not included in Denver's 3 million population figure. But Boulder would be. Denver is BLOWING charlotte away even if they were the same size. What does "underwhelming in size" have to do with this poll??? Denver is winning because it is the far superior city in almost all facets.
Denver is BLOWING charlotte away even if they were the same size.
There's no way to assess that at all since a/the major reason Denver blows Charlotte away is due to size. Charlotte certainly punches above its weight. Denver does too, but unlike Charlotte, it's not primarily because it's the only large city within a 500 mile radius.
3 million? If you include Boulder, Fort Collins, and the whole front range north of Colorado Springs.
Boulder is actually really close to Denver and the csa is 3.1 million people. Even then, the metro is about 2.6 million people. So I guess thats somewhat close to 3 million.
And i have no clue what you mean by the population being underwhelming.
Denver wins. The only advantage Charlotte has, and it's a big one, is its location. Denver is completely isolated while Charlotte is within a day's drive of most locations in the Eastern time zone and the ocean.
What? Denver is a very diverse place. I've been to many cities with the reputation for lacking diversity and found them to be filled with races other then white (including Denver).
