I'm sorry if this is a litte cliche, but these are the 3 largest cities in the nation, therfore these are the film capitals in the USA. But my question is which city (Ney York City, Los Angeles, or Chicago) looks the best in movies TO YOU? Which of these 3 places have the most entertaining movies?
I would personally say Chicago, as Los Angeles & New York are practicly the setting for every movie.
I'm really into seeing movies with Destruction so its only natural that I like the movies like 2012 (LA), Transformers (CHI), and The Avengers (NYC).
Definitely somewhere in the southwest... Albuquerque? Love to see more of southwest culture. Denver? I would like to see mountains not skylines. Or even Phoenix? I find desert landscaping in movies very fascinating.

Out of the ones you listed, it's a close tie between NYC and LA. NYC is just... so... New York! I love seeing it. But I like seeing LA too. I agree, would be nice to see some other cities in the southwest being used for movies and TV shows.
BTW New Orleans is now the third largest film production center/film location in the U.S. ahead of Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago, Austin, Detroit, and San Francisco.
I am sure this has to do with me living here, but it is a nice change in pace to see Pittsburgh in a movie
But if I had to choose out of the three cities mentioned about I would choose LA due to their dramatic landscape

I'd choose LA, there is a lot of different landscapes, cityscapes as well as mountains and forests near by. It's just so versatile when it comes to that. The weather is always favorable for shooting, warm, massive area to choose from...etc. I guess that's why the film industry began there.
Too much NYC on TV now.....Half the shows are based on NYC, all with different depictions of the city....
I feel like soon we're going to have NYC burn-out.....There's more to America than NYC.
That's why like seeing movies that are filmed and based on other locals....Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Austin, Seattle, Portland, even SF based is nice because there isn't an over saturation.
